The management of drinking water is the responsibility of the
Government of the Northwest Territories. The federal department:
Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada (AANDC) is
responsible for managing
the other water resources.
The Northwest Territories Department of Environment and Natural Resources Water
page provides information on water quality, water
strategies and the various water boards responsible for water
resources in the different areas of the Territories.
